Abstract/Summary:
The automatic detection system for point of impact is very important for new weapons systems testing and training. In this paper, the thesis develops the impact point automatic detection system based on the principle of shock.When the projectile flying at supersonic speed,it can produce a conical shock wave in surrounding area, and spread out in a certain speed. In this article, the thesis analyzes the characteristics of the shock wave transmission, introduces the basic principles of sound delay detection, and detection method of coordinates of the point of impact.Through analyzing several current sensor arrays and building the mathematical models, this thesis determines their strengths and weaknesses.Finally, this thesis chooses a double-T array as the sensor array in this system. Compared with other arrays, this array can give the relatively accurate solving for the point of impact coordinates according to the designed of the algorithm,when the projectile is shotted to the target surface with non-perpendicular angle.This thesis proposes the overall architecture of the system,including lower machine drone system in the field and off-site upper PC software. The lower machine includes sensors, front signals processing circuit module,timing delay datas acquisition circuit module based on CPLD, and single-chip control module.The PC software includes interface display module,algorithm for solving the point of impact module. Between the upper and lower machine,data is transmitted via wireless transmission module.In lower machine drone system designing, through analyzing the principles of different sensors, this thesis determines the type of sensor in this system,and designs front-end circuit. In the CPLD module,the software and hardware are both designed to extract,save and transmit the timing delay datas of the shock signals which have come from various quarters. In single-chip module, the thesis achieves reading,processing and sending the timing delay datas.In PC software designing, this thesis designs software interface by MFC, achieves serial communication, coordinate image displaying, coordinate recording and other functions. The thesis designs the point of impact solver algorithm for shooting at any angle in VC and MATLAB. Generate the MATLAB part algorithm to a COM component,and call it in VC. Finally,Through the tanks firing test shows that the system has a good accuracy and reliability.
