With the development of the people’s living standards and the economics, convenient transportation is particularly important. Recent years, Viaducts emerge everywhere and appear more and more new and old bridge. With the growth of the useful life of the bridges, the bridges suffer some degree of damage on the surface and the inside, because of the external environment and the internal stress. How to diagnose the possible damage position and identify the degree of the bridge quickly and effectively and to repair it timely, is hot in the research of the structure health diagnosis.Based on the investigation of the relevant structure health diagnosis, the paper makes a research on the methods of the detection of dynamic damage in engineering structures, and the curvature mode damage identification of bridge structure is also discussed. First, the numerical simulation is performed though the ALGOR. Then the experimental simulation is carried out to collect the data. Both of the results show that the location and degree of damage of bridge could be identified effectively based on vibration modal analysis theory. The content of this paper is divided into the following sections.During the process, based on the curvature modal theory are introduced, curvature modal shape difference, curvature mode ratio, average curvature mode and curvature modal mutation coefficient to indentify structural damage location and degree of injury.Use the various parameters of the curvature mode to detection the fixed beam damage in the case of single injury and multi-injury. And applied to the inclined leg rigid frame bridge damage identification.Proposed based on curvature mode theory to identification the fixed beam damage, And use the actual test data collected to identify the fixed beam structure damage location and degree of injury, comparative analysis the experimental data and simulation results.
