Study Design Buildings Mountain Canyon Complex Functions

Mountains cover about two-third of the land area of China. In Yunnan Province,94%of area is mountains, plateaus and hills. Many residents live near mountains and rivers. However, due to the constraints of technology, transportation and other factors, their living conditions are very poor. On September5,2011, the Conference for Dam, Farmland Protection and Mountain Town Construction in Yunnan Province held in Dali City. Qin Guangrong, the party secretary of Yunnan Province, stressed at the conference that, we should be based on the situation of Yunnan Province, follow the overall instruction—"hold the red line, co-ordinate towns and villages, and urbanize mountain areas", make efforts to use land efficiently and urbanize scientifically, explore the very own characteristic of Yunnan.The subject in this context was established and engaged with the YPIC Myanmar Ngaw Chang Hka Hydropower Project. Take the Liu Ku Village in Sal ween River town as an example, with reviewing the canyon complex location and urban planning of this town, with the theme concept of "A light touch on earth". Design and discuss with the local architectural complex, its natural environment and its humanistic environment. Set as a reference subject for the future.The thesis is divided into eight chapters, and described as follow:Chapter One:The proposal of the subject research. Introduction of methodology.Chapter Two:Conclusion of the design theory and experience gained from the research of canyon architecture.Chapter Three:Analyzed and learned the combining of theoretical foundation and case studies.Chapter Four:Introduction the Project of 《YPIC Myanmar Ngaw Chang Hka Hydropower Project Executive Business Center》Chapter Five:Conclusion the Project’s site location analysis of 《YPIC Myanmar Ngaw Chang Hka Hydropower Project Executive Business Center》 and the confirmation of site.Chapter Six:Raise any problems will be encounter during the design stage of the general site-planning. The proposed design and planning need to pay attention to the focus of the limitations of the design, and intended to continue research direction.
