With the growing of energy and environmental issues, rational use of renewable energy plays a vital role to sustainable development and environmental protection of current society. Wind and solar with the characteristics of zero pollution, low radiation, inexhaustible has been widely used as the behalf of new renewable energy. Although each of these energy exists some defects, solar and wind hybrid generation system can use the complementarity of wind and solar on the resource, translate wind and solar of strong randomness into stable electricity through the effective transformation, storage and control, make the system stability, low cost, strong practicability at the same time. In the paper, as maximum power point tracking for the core, for the purpose of energy’s maximize use, focus on the research of scenery complementary intelligent controller’s development and intelligent full power control strategy of MPPT, the main work and contribution are as follows:1) According to the overall circuit structure of intelligent controller for wind and solar hybrid system, this paper presents a design method of modular, The whole system is composed of master/slave control module, wind turbines and solar module, power module and load module. Based on the modular design, the design of hardware adopts the double MCU structure, not only can improve the stability of the whole system itself, but also provides support for function expansion in future. In software design, through the microcontroller programming instead of part of hardware circuit, developed a set of real-time monitoring system according to the requirement simultaneously, to facilitate data acquisition and management.2) Through the analysis of the maximum power point tracking problem, the design put forward a kind of intelligent power control strategy of MPPT. The strategy judge the relationship between the wind turbine and solar power and voltage by detected the output of the wind turbine and solar photovoltaic cells, drive IGBT switch working state to control PWM wave with chip IRF2807, adjust the duty ratio to obtain the maximum output power eventually.3) Combined with the three-stage charging of battery and the modular design concept of the system, the power module of the controller has the intelligent control and protection functions, not only can enhance the reliability and stability of the system, but also can extend the life of battery effectively, to cut the cost and reduce maintenance objective of system.4) Wind and solar has the characteristics of strong randomness, it is difficult for system testing, combined with the system, build a testing platform in order to solve the problem. Based on the testing requirements, the testing platform can simulate any speed of wind, to solve the problem of data testing. Data of testing prove that, the control system has high stability and feasibility, can realize the maximum use of energy, to achieve the effect of energy saving and emission reduction, and the finished product has been stable operation for more than half a year in the actual environment.
