Research Villages Architecture Gannan Zhou Tian Ancient

The residential houses in China’s vast land is the most precious heritage of our nation. TheHakka residential house is an important part in the residential architecture culture of China,carrying the unique survival emotion of the Hakka’s. Zhoutian Ancient Hakka Village inChengjiang Town in Xunwu County is approved the first batch of historical and cultural villageby the Government of Jiangxi Province. The research on the architectural art of Zhoutian Villageis significant in exploring the traditional Hakka residential houses in Gannan of Jiangxi, enrichingthe Gannan residential building research system and shaping the charms of Ganzhou city.This study takes the Zhoutian Ancient Hakka Village in Chengjiang Town in Xunwu Countyas a case, investigating more than ten remains of the historical constructions built in the Ming andQing Dynasties there. Through the analysis and study of the settlement patterns, architecturalforms as well as the decorative arts, the thesis makes generalization and conclusion of thearchitectural art of the ancient villages, and provides a good theoretical basis for thereinforcement and repair of the old buildings in Zhoutian Village. This thesis also takes theprotection and the development mode into account and puts forward suggestions for itssustainable development according to the status quo. Moreover, by the investigation and study ofthe traditional buildings in Zhoutian Village, this paper offers a basis for reference in protectingand developing the ancient villages in Gannan Area in Jiangxi Province.
