Photocatalytic materials have been reported, titanium dioxide because of itsadvantages, cheapness, non-toxic, chemical stability and higher photocatalyticefficiency has been widely used.The controllable conditions of preparation process on the influence of titaniumdioxide photocatalyst, and titanium dioxide load technology improvement on theproperties were studied. Titanium dioxide powders were loaded on the carrier throughphy-chemical method in order to enhancing the photocatalytic degradation activity oftitanium dioxide. The self-made-nano TiO2catalysts were synthesized by sol-gelmethod, using tetrabutyl titanate as material, adopted the double-mental doping tomodify titanium dioxide and used the Ceramics Honeycomb Column (CHC),Silicondioxide (SiO2) and Hollow Glass Microspheres (HGM) as the carrier. The loaded nanocatalyst samples were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning ElectronMicroscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX), UV-vis DiffuseReflectance Spectroscopy (DRS) and BET. The sodium nitrite was used to test thephotocatalytic activity. The different calcination time, calcination temperature, loadingtimes, deposition time, photocatalysts dose and reuse times were studied on thephotocatalytic activity.The results indicated that the loaded TiO2can significantly enhance thephotocatalytic activity of nano-particle and Fe/Gd/TiO2. The conclusion was drawed bysodium nitrite degradation, the optimal calcinations time and the optimal temperaturefor Fe/Gd/TiO2-CHC, Fe/Gd/TiO2-SiO2, Fe/Gd/TiO2-HGM were500℃and2hours.While the coating time and the dose of Fe/Gd/TiO2-CHC, Fe/Gd/TiO2-SiO2andFe/Gd/TiO2-HGM were2h,1h,2h and1.0g/L,1.0g/L,2.0g/L, the photocatalyticactivity of coated TiO2were84.08%,90.46%and93.78%.
