In this paper, focusing on the problems that the magnesium alloy plasticity is low and the deformation of processing capacity is poor at room temperature, the process of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube was drawn up and studied.According to the feature of hydrostatic extrusion and extending-extrusion, the mold and some important experimental unit of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube were designed and the parameters were selected. The process simulation of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube had been done by using the finite element analysis software DEFORM. The influence of different mold preheat temperature on molding process was analyzed. The results effectively optimized the process parameters and process test. The feasibility of the process and the effectiveness of simulation were verified through the process test of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube. Through the experiments of microstructure and mechanical properties, hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming and the follow heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of Magnesium alloy AZ80tube were analyzed.The experiments determined the process parameters of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube which obtained fine grains and good mechanical properties. It also determined the process parameters of recrystallization annealing heat treatment.Taking the material properties of Magnesium alloy AZ80, the capability of test equipment and the quality requirements of extrusion products into consideration, meanwhile combining with the test data of relevant process simulation and analytic results of microstructure and mechanical properties, the process of hydrostatic extending-extrusion forming for Magnesium alloy AZ80tube was formulated.
