Formaldehyde is a kind of important chemical raw materials, its yield and purity directly affect the variety of downstream products manufacturing. Formaldehyde reactor production process in formaldehyde when necessary equipment, it will directly affect the safety of the whole formaldehyde manufacturing the operation of the system and stable. Strength calculation is a primary factor to ensure reliability of Formaldehyde reactor. Based on the calculation methods are compared. Used on the structure will be an integral part of the reaction tank divided into special design, and with ring joint board for deformation ease, reduce the heat tube plate stress destruction and extend the life of the tube plate.The design method for Conventional pressure vessel is established at the ideal model, the theory of which is first strength theory at the basis of elastic deformation. However, this calculation cannot reflect the distribution of stress of pressure element except the strength value of vessel and pressure element.Through the analysis on structure stress of main pressure element on Formaldehyde reactor and ANSYS stress analysis, the paper analysis the safety of Formaldehyde reactor and improve the accuracy and economy of stress calculation of equipment to assure the safe and reliability of equipment For practical engineering equipment structure design and stress calculation summarized experience and basis.
