In the drilling operation of oil and gas wells, because of the various factors, such as meeting high pressure oil and gas, the overflow occurs suddenly. After implementing the shut in operation, the plug valve cannot be opened as a result of the high wellhead pressure, and then the accident will be more complicate because of no killing channel. In order to solve this incident, it is very necessary to establish a killing well passageway from the wellhead to the bottom. The engineering technology called pressure drilling is put forward based on the background solving the pipeline problem of continuous production, it is widely used in piping, pressure vessels, ocean mining, urban utilities and other fields, and it has brought great economic benefits to the production. Therefore, in order to solve the overflow accident during the drilling operation of oil and gas wells, the project team proposed a new method which is for killing well and blow off by developing a tapping machine of drill pipe under pressure in combination with the pressure drilling technology. The device structure is very compact, low cost, security and reliable, and it has great practical significance. This paper makes the following aspects:(1) Data and field research. Through the collection, collation and research of pressure drilling technology, summarize the construction, operating principle and the advantage of pressure of tapping under pressure, and then put forward the research idea of the tapping machine with killing well and blow off of drill pipe under pressure.(2) Determine the overall design scheme of device. Three kinds of design scheme of device are proposed. Optimize and confirm the most appropriate solution based on the principles of the design, field requirements and structural feature.(3) The main structure design of the device. Design the sealing ring between the drill pipe and beam clamp. Preferred the dynamic seal components near the tool. Develop a new type of hydraulic plate valve with a passage of killing well and blow off in cooperation with the manufacturers. Preferred the drilling parameters of tool through calculation and experiment. Solid modeling of the equipment with Pro/E software and establish the motion simulation of the dismantling and main function of the tapping machine of drill pipe under pressure.(4) The check of the mechanical properties of the main components. According to the physical model and the load restraining of the bars, the checking standards are determined, and then the theoretical check of the two bars are done, at last analyze the stress and strain distribution of the important bars of the device through analysis software (ABAQUS).(5) The design of the hydraulic system of the device. According to the request of the machine structure and working conditions, the system principle diagram is set down and the parameters calculation and choices for the components of the hydraulic system are done based on the research of tool feed force and rotational torque.(6) The trial-produce and test of prototype. Lay down the bench test programs, and then test it relying on the plan. Improve the structure constantly based on the experimental results, and then trial and error until all requirements are fully realized, verify the feasibility of the structure design.
