With the continuous development of China’s plastic machinery industry, the traditional single cutter head screw machine can’t meet the demand for screw yield.Taking the3.6meter common screw as the example, the skilled staff processes a such screw to need for18hours, the production efficiency is somewhat low. This research is to develop efficient long screw processing equipment,and the main content is as follows:1. Design hardware structure of the double cutter head CNC screw machine. Designing the machine pays special attention to the two drag board space matching problem and the vibration problem. Control cabinet design not only pays attention to the selecting of each device, but more importantly arrange the various components which reduces the electromagnetic interference between devices.2. Research and develop a five axis CNC system based on Lab VIEW software. Lab VIEW software development environment is introduced, especially the NI-Motion module. According to the helix related theories and the screw processing of the actual situation, I establish and optimize the mathematical model of the CNC system and write the program of CNC including the algorithm, the establishment of the subVI, the structure of the program, and all kinds of small programs.3. Design the human-machine interface of the CNC system. The human-machine interface of CNC system not only follows the general rules of human-computer interface design, also highlight this numerical control system characteristic. The design of man-machine interface is not only easy, and makes people feel cheerful which reduces worker’s agitated sentiment.4. Field test and error analysis. The double cutter head CNC screw machine was carried out after the completion of designment.The screw is not only qualified, and available to nearly half of their original cost. According to the error theory and the situation, this article analyze several causes of error factor, proposes the corresponding solution measures, and makes the error in the acceptable range.
