With high cutting speed, feed speed and high machinig accuracy as the main characteristics of high speed machining technology is one of the four advanced manufacturing technology at present, is a high-tech manufacturing techniques to produce the second revolutionary leap. At present, the world is striving to develop its own high-speed machining technology, the successful application of high-speed machining technology has a huge economic benefits. This paper presents a kind of adjustable form interpolation spline curve, relize the unified description of the straight line, quadratic curve and free curve, then planning and description CNC movement smooth path based on the spline curve; regard plane CNC motion path and surface CNC motion path as optimization object, using adjustable form of interpolation spline function to description motion path, processing corner smooth switching, using3D spiral line planning surface processing smooth path, explore the high-speed high-precision smooth interpolation method.This paper explores a cubic interpolation curve which has unified expression to the various segments, but also has a simple calculation process. Based on it, this paper put forwards an interpolation curve spline interpolation method, it’s easier, quicker than NURBS interpolation, and also with continuity and smoothness, effectively improve the reliability of the machining quality and machining process, and this interpolation calculation method is easy to achieve real-time spline curve smooth interpolation, is good for high speed and precision of nc machining.This paper put forwards an adjustable form of cubic spline interpolation function, used to describe the nc machining path, it has the characteristics of simple calculation and structural diversity, using the spline function can describe linear, circular and free curve, making us of adjustable form of the cubic spline connecting curve for corner transition, to reduce motion impact, to better meet the requirements of high-speed machining.This paper proposes the "3D space spiral" smooth motion path planning method, in the whole process of surface finishing, cutter contact point is continuous space3D spiral, the derivative of the whole trajectory and the tool motion speed also with the direction of the transformation are continuous, effectively reduce movement impact, realize "macro smoothness" of the whole motion path; In addition, using interpolation spline to describe the whole motion path, based on the interpolation spline curve interpolation calculation, realize smooth convergence of micro-curve interpolation, achieve "micro smoothness" of the whole motion path.
