Loess aera is an unique geomorphic features and its character is particularity. Loess landslide is more common in loess area, As a kind of geological disaster, it is more special, which occur with high frequency, damage, casualties and economic losses caused by serious, to people’s production and life brought great inconvenience. On the causes of loess landslide, can be said to be Public opinions are divergent, and irrigation induced loess is one of the important factors which influence the comparison. Especially in recent years, the loess tableland area for farmland irrigation caused landslide phenomenon emerge in an endless stream of Yuan edge slopes occur, thinking it is worth, so the loess tableland area of irrigation induced loess landslide features, hair analysis on the mechanism of the formation, movement mechanism and stability, not only has the important research significance, and very deep realistic significance.In this paper, Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province Zhang Cun Wan loess landslide for example, through the South Jingyang plateau Zhang Cun Wan landslide data collection, field investigation, expert experience and comprehensive literature at home and abroad, stability analysis of irrigation induced loess landslide Zhang Cun Wan basic characteristics, the underlying structure, physical and mechanical properties. formation mechanism, the movement mechanism under the action of the landslide and irrigation.The main results of the research are as follows:(1) Based on the investigation of geological data, collected the related geological field of Zhang Cun Wan loess landslide, the study area location, meteorology and hydrology, topography, lithology, geological structure, hydrogeological conditions, seismic activity and human engineering activities, engineering geology and environmental conditions were studied; at the same time of landslide research condition and soil mechanics environment of the study area.(2) Study on the characteristics of Zhang Cun Wan loess landslide, determine the Zhang Cun Wan loess landslide, landslide types of surface micro geomorphic features, morphological characteristics, characteristics of plane vertical section, sections of the landslide, landslide stratum structure and material composition and physical and mechanical properties of the landslide.(3) Based on properties of the landslide and soil mechanics, discussion and role of irrigation Xia Zhang Cun Wan landslide formation mechanism was studied, and its evolvement can be divided into4stages:①irrigation collapsible-creep phase,②the slight liquefaction sliding phase,③the serious liquefaction-Drama stage,④the flow-stable stage; the movement mechanism, the equation of motion of irrigation induced loess landslide, and applied to Zhang Cun Wan landslide, verified, the results can be calculated accurately for the slip, and generally consistent with actual slip.(4) Using the MIDAS software, simulate the irrigation under Zhang Cun Wan loess landslide, seepage field changes, the change of the stress field and the coupling of the two, by setting different underground water level condition, to study Zhang Cun Wan landslide stability analysis.
