The cellulosic biomass is the most abundant renewable resource in the world. Since the cellulose and other ingredients which are difficult to decompose of the cellulosic biomass, the using of the cellulosic biomass is restricted. The major products of cellulosic biomass are pyrolysis liquid oil and levoglucosan. If we can get the effective use of the major producr of biomass, the conversion of so huge amounts of the mater to energy has strategic significance for solving the potential problems on shortage and sustainable economic development over the world, especially for the developmenting countries.Investigation of fungis assimilating levoglucosan, The fungis that could convert levoglucosan specifically was identified on the basis of morphology features and18S rDNA sequence analysis, which was ultimately identified as Rhodosporidium kratochvilovae.(CGMCC No:6365) and Penicillium pinophilum.(CGMCC No:6366) according to taxonomic identification showed the strongest levoglucosan-assimilating ability, the utilization is96.6%(4d) and100%(4d). Rhodosporidium kratochvilovae can also assimilating levoglucoasn as carbon source production of carotenoids and PAL.The conditions of culture and biotransformation of Rhodosporidium kratochvilovae product carotenoids were studied. The results showed that the culture medium was levoglucosan as carbon source, yeast extract as nitrogen source,0.1%KH2PO4,0.04%MgSO4,0.1%K2HPO4,0.03%FeSO4.The conversion rate could reach98.7%, The production of carotenoids is427.1/ug.g-1, after60h under the condition of pH7.0,37℃, fungis media volum50mL/250mL and10%inoculum. The results showed that the culture medium was0.5g/L glucose as carbon source,1g/L soybean powder as nitrogen source,0.1g/L Phenylalanine as inducer, with0.1%(NH4)2S04,0.5%NaCl,0.1%K2HPO4after48h, the enzyme activity is478mu/ml.Pyrolysis liquid oil and levoglucosan effect Schizosaccharomyces pombe growth were studied. The results showed that pyrolysis liquid oil restrain the growth of Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the inhibition rate is65%, but1%levoglusocan promote the growth and the prodution of Ethanol of Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the promoting rate is23.4%and15.8%. Levoglusosan also effect the apoptosis of Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the impact rate is23%by0.3%levoglusosan.Thermochromatium tepidum assimilating Pyrolysis liquid oil was studied. The Pyrolysis liquid oil with six detoxification methods. The activated carbon+Ca(OH)2shaking method gave the pyrolysis liauid oil which was most utilization by Thermochromatium tepidum. The utilization rate reach94.15%(6d).
