Public security mediation is one of the legal systems in our country with the Chinese characteristics; it’s long-standing, well-established and rarely definite with the deep historical origins. China’s contemporary conciliation has formed a complete system including the public security mediation, people’s mediation and court mediation. The political significance of the mediation is to properly solve the "contradictions among the people", and its social significance is "to create a harmonious social environment". Mediation is the "bury the hatchet" art involved with necessity, principle and method from the micro perspective, and a harmonious governance way fused by "rule of law" and "rule of virtue" from a macro perspective. With the social development, mediation need various means to intervene the social disputes. My theme tries to explore new ways to resolve security dispute in this new period. Establishing a public security mediation mechanism with theory and skills is a beneficial attempt to solve the disputes, maintaining the social stability. As one of the frontline polices, disputes mediation is a part of mydaily work. In recent years, there are a considerable part of the work is the disputes mediation in the law enforcement work by the frontline police office, and the number of the civil disputes is increasing. Explored the method of disputes mediation in the new era, resolved contradictions and disputes actively and effectively, resolved the problem in the bud, will take great significance in reducing crime, protecting the interests of the masses, promoting the construction of harmonious society.Public security mediation is conducive to resolving conflicts and disputes, resolving social contradictions, reducing the incentive and the cost, saving time and manpower, preventing and suppressing the crime, with great significance to maintain social stability and building a harmonious society. Improving the quality of public security mediation is an important measure to promote the construction of standardization of law enforcement, to further standardize law enforcement activities, to strength law enforcement supervision, to enhance law enforcement and law enforcement efficiency. The quality of the public security mediation directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of the parties, related to the responsibility of the law enforcement officers to the parties, the law and the people.
