In the30years of reform and opening up, there has been a fundamental change in China legal service market. No matter the organizational form of subject of legal service, or the nature and the position of the subject of legal service, occurred the unprecedented changes along with the fast development of the socialist market economy. For the past few years, with the opening of our country’s market and the system of economy in our country in line with international standards, there are more new contents and higher standard for the require of the legal service was put forward. At the same time, it also put forward a higher standard for the subject of legal service. So the design of pay methods for law firm highlights its modulatory effect. The design to a certain extent determines the development of firm scale, it also greatly restricted or adjust the speed in the development of the law firm. Good and effective compensation design for law firm is the very import institution to firm under the current system.As the main service organization under the current law service system, the law firm gradually developed from original and single organizational form of nationalized into three forms which are nationalized, cooperative and partnership. In the past few years, with the continuous development of the profession of lawyer in our country, individual law firms develop fast. So up to now there are four forms in law firm organization which are nationalized, cooperative, partnership and individual.Law firm is the law service intermediary. Different organizational form has its own management mode, and also has different design or identify for the compensation.As a law firm which has five years history, Honor Firm is a middle class law firm in Jinan, Shandong province. Since November2011, in order to improve the development scale and speed, and to improve service quality and level, Honor Firm began to research and explore suitable compensation for our own development needs. According to the actual circumstance of our firm, we have set up a working group to study the problem and to design our own compensation.In order to better study, the article discusses the design of compensation of Honor Firm in five parts.Part1give a brief description of the article’s background, objective, significance, the research method and content, and the innovation of this study. Part2is a description of the theory of compensation design for Honor Firm. Part3is the analysis of Honor Firm compensation current situation and existing problems. Part4is a description of Honor Firm compensation design system which is guided by relevant theories. Part5is the summary and conclusions of this compensation design.
