The Research On Governmental Responsibility Of Rescuing Street Children In China

Strengthening the relief of street children, protecting the lawful rights of street children,promoting the growth of children healthily and keeping social harmony and stability is theembodiment of the government to provide public services and to fulfill the functions of socialmanagement. At present, China’s social is during transiting period, various contradictions andproblems continue to erupt, and the problem of street children is more and more prominent,has become an obvious social problem.The article uses literature analysis, case analysis, interdisciplinary research method andsystem analysis to study governmental responsibility of rescuing street children, referencingto the management and social security theory. The article is divided into four parts: The firstpart discusses the basic concept of street children and governmental responsibility anddiscusses related theories, including the connotation of street children and governmentalresponsibility, the related basis of playing the responsibility of the government and so on. Thesecond part summarizes some achievements and mainly analyzes the problems ofgovernmental responsibility of rescuing street children in current China. The third part brieflyintroduces the successful experience of other countries during the work in rescuing streetchildren. The fourth part puts forward tentative measures and suggestions to improve theability of the government to fulfill its responsibility on rescuing street children, improve thequality and efficiency of rescuing street children and help street children return to familiesand society as soon as possible.
