Since the1860s, west America had been being the main colony for Asianimmigrants which most of them were Chinese immigrants and Japanese immigrants wholived in California. The immigrant policy of American government was changed frompermissive to contractive during late1800s to early1900s.So it is very meaningful toresearch the immigrant condition of Chinese and Japanese immigrants during that periodfor the understanding of the policy of the government against the Asian immigrants.There is a profound meaning to research this period of history for the parsing of theforeign policy especially the immigrant policy against the Asian immigrants. This articleinvolved the previous research results and the population data from the Census Bureau,trying to analysis the legislation of the federal government and the state government andthe living condition of the immigrants in order to present the historical truths clearly andcompletely. This essay trying to analysis the immigrant policy and the followinginfluence of the Chinese and Japanese immigrants in Marxism philosophy、history andpolitical ways.There are three parts of the article. THE first part is the introduction which introducethe writing reasons、trains of thought and the study trends. The second part is the maintext. The last part is the conclusion. The main text has three chapters: the first one is theliving states of Chinese and Japanese immigrants in California. The second one analysisthe living conditions of Chinese and Japanese immigrants from the vocations、massorganizations and the education. The third chapter analysis the specific immigrant policyand the following influence of the federal and California governments and then analysisthe coping strategy of these two ethic groups.
