Theory Of New-democratic Society And The Communist Party Of China’s Exploration For The Harmonious Society In The Early Days Of Founding

The theory of New-democratic society is a better description for the Communist Party’ssocial blueprint that China wants to develop and build after the victory of the NewDemocratic Revolution. It is also a theory of social construction on building a politic,economic and cultural harmonious society. After the founding of new China, the nation hasundertaken the new-democratic social construction under the guidance of this theory for along period of time, and this was the consensus in the Party at that time. Although thenew-democratic social construction only carried on a short period of three years, from thefounding of new China in1949to the preparation of the General Line for the TransitionPeriod in September1952, many ideologies guiding the social construction in the theory havenot been fully reflected, and each specific measures also have not been completely carried out,all of these were being explored and ongoing，we could not deny the Communist Party’seffort to carry forward the practice of building the new-democratic society in the founding ofthe first three years, just because the theory was not practicable to achieve the desired goal. Inthe founding of the first three years, different social classes and strata, under the guidance ofthe theory of new-democratic society, kept a relative stable and harmonious situation, andsocial contradictions were consistently moderate, society as a whole maintained a goodoperational situation and development trends.At present, the whole Party and the society are working to build a socialist harmonioussociety. Harmonious society is an ideal human society of which many thinkers, both ancientand modern, Chinese and foreign, not only put forward the ideology, but also make anunremitting exploration. Then as one of the two important theories on socialist society for theCommunist Party of China so far, and after the victory of New-democratic Social Revolution,as the direction of the Party’s practice in the founding of the first three years, whether thetheory of new-democratic society has the harmonious thought, and whether the Party’spractice is a pursuit for the harmonious society under the guidance of this theory worththinking.This paper contains the kernel of the theory of New-democratic Society, that politically,establishing a joint dictatorship of all revolutionary classes; economically, building thestate-run economy, cooperative economy, individual economy, private capitalist economy andnational capitalist economy, with these five economic elements, it formed a pattern of“division of labor and everyone is properly provided for”; culturally, enhancing theinterpretation of the new-democratic Social culture from a national, scientific, public and multi-compatible point of view. Under the direction of the theory of New-democratic Society,the paper analyzes the policy that guides all aspects of construction by combining with thespecific actual situation in the early founding; and investigates the harmonious effects resultedfrom the Party in the actual construction practice in politic, economic, cultural and otheraspects, it holds that the theory of New-democratic Society itself contains rich harmoniousthoughts and the funding of the first three years under the guidance of the theory was theimportant historical time for our Party to explore the harmonious society. On this basis, thearticle summarizes the important historical experience the Party obtained in the process ofexploring the harmonious society under the guidance of this theory in the early days of thenation, hoping that it can benefit the activity of building a harmonious society at the moment.
