The topic of personality education is an old,meanwhile,young one. The Chinesenation in the long process of historical development has formed a very richpersonality education thought, and pre-qin period’s personality education ideology isparticularly famous,which has profound influence on later generations. This articledeals with the pre-qin Confucian personality education, which is in the spring andautumn period and the warring states period. The Confucian main representativefigure of Confucius, mencius and xunzi expounded and construct the sum of a seriesof personality education point of view.The pre-qin Confucian personality education thought is a complete theoreticalsystem. The Pre-Qin Confucian personality education thought originated from "fallingof ceremony" of the spring and autumn warring states period, when the concept ofdestiny theocratic tendency weakened.The pre-qin Confucian personality educationthought theory is based on harmony theory, theory of human nature thought and yourthought. The basic goal of the pre-Qin Confucian Personality Education is a saint, agentleman, who; pre-Qin Confucian personality main content of education isself-improvement, self-oriented, see Leith justice, sincere and trustworthy, love andharmony, selfless;At last, they also summed up the personality of a set of effectiveeducational methods, mainly according to their aptitude, governs incorruptibly, payequal attention to, unification and self-supervision. The pre-qin Confucian personalityeducation thought has certain modern value, mainly reflected in: In charactereducation goals, we must have not only high standards but also hierarchy; in termsof personality educational content, we must correctly handle the individual and thestate, personal relationships with others; in terms of personality educationalmethods,we must make them forms and lively.
