Therefor, to ensure China’s energy security and energy development balance, is the key to make sure the successful of China’s sustainable development and the socialist modernization.Nigeria is the largest oil-exporting country of Africa, at the same time, it is also rich in natural gas and mineral resources. China and Nigeria since the establishment of diplomatic relations in1971, the stability of bilateral political relations has laid a solid foundation for China to carry out energy diplomacy to Nigeria.China’s energy diplomacy to Nigeria began in the late1990s of the last century, China imported Nigeria’s oil resources.After ten years development, China has formed a variety forms, wide field and All-round development of cooperation energy diplomacy to Nigeria. While with many opportunities for China’s energy cooperation with Nigeria, it also face many challenges, such as lack of skills and experience of Chinese energy companies, Nigeria’s domestic political risk, the imperfect of infrastructure construction, and the competition and exclusion from the Western countries and multinational. Therefore, we must promote the progress of China’s energy diplomacy to Nigeria from various and multi-angle.This article attempts to explore measures to solve the unfavorable factors in the process of China’s energy diplomacy to Nigeria, to promote the overall process of China’s energy diplomacy to Nigeria, to provide a useful exploration of safeguard China’s energy security.
