When An-Shi Armed Rebellion broken out, the central government of Tang Dynasty had to move its troops in the Western Regions to participate in putting down the rebellion, so the border defense was weakened.Old Tibetan took the chance to expand eastward. And Mount Long once became the border between the two countries. However,it could not fulfill the ambition of old Tibetan,it crossed Mount Long and invaded the northwest areas of Chang An in the central Shaanxi plain.Because the area is the heart of Tang Dynasty, wars happened there were rather important. This paper selected five representative battles to study the ancient road in wars between old Tibetan and Tang Dynasty. There are two main road:Longdi Road and Jingyuan Road. In this paper, strategically important places are listed and analyzed first, then they together made up the roads in wars.
