Mohism, as one of the pre-qin two terms, the theory of pre-qin period has great influence on our country’s social and cultural, there is the saying of not that Confucianism is the mohism. Mohism in the light of the concrete social condition during the warring states period, and puts forward a set of social reform plan, built a ideal society with "harmonious and peaceful life". This paper mainly discusses the source of mohism, mozi’s meaning and characteristics of the ideal society, compared the similar period of a few ideal society, and expounds the positive significance and theoretical defects of mozi ideal society. Hope to be able to carry forward the traditional culture, guide the construction of a harmonious society in the new period in our country.Mozi is want to build a holistic ideal society, is a "the world no one" society with "harmonious and peaceful life", its include political, economic, social ethics, philosophy, etc. Mozi’s ideal society has its distinctive features, he represents the interests of the laborers, universal love, argues that "lai his strength", and other similar period social idea-the Confucian ideal of the "datong society", the ancient Greek Plato’s "utopia" have similarities, but also have their own characteristics.Mozi’s ideal society, as the representative of China’s early utopia, with all the utopia in common:it is human to all hopes of a better life, is the dream of "lost" at the same time. Mozi’s " harmonious and peaceful life " society to guide the positive upward, to our country’s political, economic, cultural and other aspects have far-reaching consequences. But the system internal and has obvious contradiction between the proposition and the incompleteness of policy reform, is worth studying.
