Anatoly Ivanovich Kusyakov was a famous composer in Russia in twentieth century and composed a lot of music, especially the accordion works. He combined the traditional composing techniques with the modern composing techniques, constantly in pursuit of more tension new timbres and dynamics performance, to make the accordion music artistic expressive force more incisively and vividly; and explored a new road for the Russian accordion music. Kusyakov produced a lot of works, in which the Sonata No.5<Monologue about the Eternity> was one of his representative works. His works were full of philosophy, substantial and profound, and revealed a strong sadness, but also revealed a firm and resolute strength.This article mainly analyzes his works from two aspects:the modern technique analysis and the performance analysis, and thoroughly analyzes the concrete expression of the combination of the modern creation technique and the national characteristics of Kusyakov’s Sonata No.5<Monologue about the Eternity>, to promote the understanding of Kusyakov’s modern accordion work. The article comes as follows:1. Briefly introduce Kusyakov’s life experiences, writing style and the creation background of Sonata No.5<Monologue about the Eternity>2. Analyze the work from the pitch materials, national materials, music structure, potential tonality, and modern and ethnic fusion.3. Study the playing techniques of the modern accordion works in-depth in combination with the creative features of the works, to expand the new timbres and expressiveness of the accordion.
