Lasting only13years, Yongzheng Dynasty was still one of prosperousperiods in the Qing Dynasty.Among all the great achievements, porcelainproduction has reached the highest level of the Qing Dynasty, with peerlessvarieties and elaborate workmanship.Today, porcelain of the YongzhengDynasty remains the hottest among the ceramic collectors.Porcelain of the Yongzheng Dynasty has played a key role as a connectinglink between the preceding and the following in the peak season of itsproduction in China (1669-1795), which wrote a very brilliant page in thehistory of Chinese ceramics.The porcelain is exquisite beyond compare, andits shape, decoration, painting and glaze fully embody the combination ofsuperb technology and art, which fully reflects the Yongzheng Emperor srecognition and favor of the Han culture, and at the same time, also showsthat the emperor himself had superior accomplishments of Han culture,elegant but not earthly.By using the method of semiotics, this article respectively analyzesthe aesthetic style of the porcelain of Yongzheng Dynasty from the synchronicand diachronic aspects: from the porcelain modelling,glaze color anddecoration, respectively comparing the similarities and differences betweenthe porcelain aesthetic style in Yongzheng Dynasty and Kangxi and QianlongDynasty; from the social background and political system of the YongzhengDynasty, from Yongzheng Emperor s personal artistic accomplishments andpreferences,and from the two greatly contributing ceramic officers NianXiyao and Tang Ying in Yongzheng Dynasty, summing up the causes affectingporcelain aesthetic style in Yongzheng Dynasty.In the writing process, the writer has collected nearly1000pictures.Through these images and text descriptions, the information conveyed in theYongzheng Dynasty porcelain is deeply excavated.To understand history,ceramic artifacts are historic evidences that can not be ignored. From theshape, glaze, decoration, etc., we are able to experience and understandthe regnant system of politics, economy and culture, and these ceramicartifacts give us a more intuitive and more realistic reflection of thesocial trends at that time.
