Objective:This study aimed to explore group psychotherapy in patients with persistentsomatoform pain disorder the influence of the quality of life, and whose effectiveness isverified by clinical application, and through the group psychotherapy alexithymia, painsymptoms and improve patients psychological function, social function, etc., eventuallyimprove the patient’s quality of life.Methods:Selection in May2013to November2013in yantai economic and technologicaldevelopment zone hospital psychiatrist in the hospital, a total of80patients with persistentsomatoform pain disorder as the research object,divided into two groups according to randomnumber table method, the experimental group and the control group,40cases in each group.Test to establish the control group before and after the test design, into the group, theresearchers record its general situation questionnaire, on two groups of patients with Torontoalexithymia scale (TAS-26), the simplified McGill pain rating scale (simplify MPQ), lifequality comprehensive assessment questionnaire (GOOLI-74). Experimental group inaddition to routine drug treatment and group psychological therapy, treatment, a total of eighttimes, each time1hour, the control group only accepted conventional drug treatment.Experimental group and control group patients in the hospital the day before the survey againToronto alexithymia scale (TAS-26), the simplified McGill pain rating scale (simplify MPQ),life quality comprehensive assessment questionnaire (GOOLI-74). Used and the statisticalprocessing of the collected data application SPSS19.0T test, analysis of variance analysis andother methods.Results:1. In Toronto alexithymia scale score, the two groups after intervention in addition to thefactor3, the rest of the every factor score and total score were statistically significant (p <0.01), the two way in comparison, the experimental group before and after the intervention infactor1and factor2,4, total score on all have significant difference (p﹤0.01) before andafter the intervention and control group the difference was statistically significant on factor1only (p﹤0.01).2. The study found that patients with persistent somatoform pain way of pain in the top threeare involved in pain, tingling, spasm pain. Besides feeling item after intervention, two groups in the emotion, PPI the comparison of total score, VAS, PPI was statistically significant (p﹤0.01). Experimental group before and after the intervention, paragraphs in feeling andemotion, PPI scores, VAS, PPI scores were statistically significant (p﹤0.01), while thecontrol group on the PPI scores no statistical significance (p﹥0.01).(3) after the intervention, in addition to physical function dimension, the two groups inphysical function dimension, mental function, social function dimensions, the comparison ofquality of life scores were statistically significant (p﹤0.01). Among them, the two groups inthe community services, sleep and energy, physical discomfort, mental tension and negativeemotions, positive emotions, social support and interpersonal skills, amateur entertainmentlife, overall evaluation factors on the quality of life was extremely significant difference (p﹤0.01). Experimental group in physical function dimension before and after the intervention,mental function, social function dimensions and total score of life quality has had statisticalsignificance (p﹤0.01), and compared to the control group only on the physical functiondimension was statistically significant (p﹤0.01).Conclusion:1. The group psychotherapy can improve the alexithymia of persistent somatoform paindisorder.2. The group psychological therapy with medication effectively relieve the pain symptoms ofpersistent somatoform pain disorder.3. The group psychotherapy with effective drug treatment improved the quality of life ofpersistent somatoform pain disorder.
