Chinese has abundant words which are easy to be confused. The verb and the adjective arethe main kinds which are always used. Although the verb is always on dominant role, the roleof the adjective in sentence is more flexible than it. These two kinds take the most confusingwords and are also unavoidable for the foreign students when they study Chinese. The newHSK sets the relative questions for testing the foreign students’ learning situation of confusingwords. This paper picks some confusing words in the verb and the adjective from the newHSK appendix to compare and analysis. Because of the role of the verb and the adjective isalways predicate in sentence, this paper calls the all words which are chosen as confusingpredicate. The confusing predicates is the most difficult to grasp in the Chinese study forforeign students but it also could show their level completely. The first chapter summarizes the popular theoretical views. Second chapter uses the sheetform to class confusing predicate from pronunciation, morphology, matching and analysissimply the differentiate methods and practicing methods of the pronunciation confusingpredicates and the morphological confusing predicates. Third chapter analysis specificallyeight groups confusing predicates from the rational meaning, match objects and the words’tone difference. Fourth chapter is mainly to conclude the score of the questionnaire andanalysis test questions. Fifth chapter is the method of teaching Chinese to foreign speakers. The last chapter is the conclusion. This paper has some reference to the simulate test of theChinese teacher volunteer because the confusing predicate form could offer the reviewingscope and the words groups’ main point differentiate offers the idea of question solution.I hope it would help those who take part in the Chinese teacher volunteer test in future.
