Epistolary novel, was accepted widely in the1920s, which written by femalewriters was more than half of the novels. Inspired by the western feminist narrativetheories, I choose the epistolary novels written in the20th century20years,introducing the epistolary written by Bingxin, LuYin, Feng Yuanjun, Shi Pingmei inthis paper, and analyzing epistolary novel discourse by the feminist narratologytheory.On the one hand, women writers share their ideology by epistolary novels:showing their emotion and express their ideas; Epistolary novel, on the other hand, asthe typical interactivity, author reveals a dialogue with others, the society, culture, andthe history.Based on the existing research results, the topic will be discussed in threeaspects. First of all, the historical and cultural background of the epistolary novel;Furthermore, the same as the most male writers, female writers express themselves byepistolary novel in the May4th movement, but as the lack of experiences, femalewriters catch in a dilemma in performance of the language; Finally, as the interactivityis the significant characteristics of epistolary novel, I will discuss the interactivity ofthe epistolary novel from the novels and the culture. Women writers have aconversation with others in the novel to share their insights about society, history, andso on.And at the same time, the female writers communicate, compromise andconfront with the mainstream discourse.
