Social public morality is the ethics which people should be followed in public lifeand in the public sphere. With the rapid development of our economy, the frequentenlargement of public life and interpersonal conflict, public realm has becomeincreasingly prominent. And the social morality shows the more, broader role. Socialmorality is a kind of basic moral principles and each person should have the moralcharacter, which is the foundation of social stability and development and moralprosperity and is the inevitable requirement of building a harmonious society in China.Social morality cultivation refers to the education as a fundamental means to train peopleto promote the formation of social behavior. And college students are the special socialgroup, with a high level of knowledge and morality and they play an irreplaceable role insociety. The cultivation of social morality is not only to promote the development andgrowth of individuals, but also direct to affect the social morality of college studentswhich affects the overall social progress of civilization.The social morality of the contemporary college students as a whole are good, suchas behavior of loving the motherland, respecting teachers, uniting classmates good, butstill exists some deviation behavior and thought, caused the social morality of the collegestudents. This paper from the college students’ social morality forming the point of view,firstly make clear the connotation of social morality, social morality cultivation, and thesocial morality of the university students to develop an important meaning to the society,school and students; secondly, it points out that the lack of social morality of theContemporary College students, such as public awareness, helpful behavior, lack of senseof loss Protect environment or the lack of honesty, serious, and analyzes the causes of thissituation are many sided, having bad social trend of thought and social environment.There is deviation of school education and family education, lack of neglected andstudents intrinsic motivation; finally, this paper discusses the effective way for collegestudents to develop according to the social morality analysis, including the establishmentof the correct guiding ideology, give full play to social, school, family culture, promote mutual cooperation, the establishment of university students, social morality cultivationarranged in a crisscross pattern of network, to promote college students’ social moralitycultivation, and the social morality of the university students can eventually developdepending on the students to actively improve their own social morality accomplishmentand form the final social morality.
