With the developing of the world’s economy and each country hoping to havetheir own place in the field, we make a point of the development of industry andinnovation of technology. However, we have realized the necessity of building acountry that has great comprehensive national power in the new-century internationalenvironment.The film industry is playing an important role in the culture industrysince culture industry has been an inseparable part of the national industry. It makes apositive difference to improving the competitiveness of our culture industry bydeveloping film industry for films are regarded as international language, a kind ofworld communication as well as national image. In this article, we find the superiorityof each country by comparing filmdom at home and abroad. China film industries arerelatively weak, so here we give some suggestions for the internationalization of ourfilm industry by referring to successful examples of other countries.Starting from the article describes the relationship of culture industry andeconomy. Then by referring to Michael Porter’s Diamond Theory we analyzed andcompared the competitiveness of domestic and international film industries and foundour strong points together with our shortages. Diamond Theory mainly helps us tofind the core competitiveness we need on the way of internationalization of industryand we will see the points which we should pay more effort to. Besides theoreticexplanation, we use data of related factors to support the comparison of theinternationalization of domestic and international film industries. Then we are easierto see the characteristics and our problems on the way of internationalizing.
