The Research On The Origin Of Liao’s Theory In Returning Of Human

As a watershed in the history of China, ideology of Confucianism, Buddhism,Taoism etc. had gained considerable development during the Sui and Tang Dynasties,and it appeared a situation that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism standed like thelegs of a tripod as Buddhism flourished. In terms of mind theory, Confucianismlacked skilled and rigorous system which Buddhism had, so at that time, theorthodoxy of Confucianism suffered serious shocks of Buddhism flourishing. Li Aowas under the tutelage of Han Yu.Under Han Yu’s influence,Li Ao wrote threearticles named "Liao" and advanced Complexity theory in response to challenges ofTaoism.Followed "the Doctrine of the Mean","the Great Learning","Yi zhuan”,Mencius" and other Confucian classics as model,Li Ao made a new interpretation ofthe idea in these classics based on his own understanding,in order to establish aConfucian theory of mind theory to cope with the challenges of Buddhism andTaoism.The Sui and Tang Dynasties when Li Ao lived was the transition period of thehistory of Chinese philosophy,people pay less attention to it,so writings about Li Aoand thought of "Liao" are not much in domestic academia currently,even there isn’ta Monograph about it.In conclusion,the current researches about Li Ao’s thought ofComplexity theory mostly focus on the following aspects:the basis and methods ofComplexity,complex way of thinking which drew on the experience of Buddhismand the influence of Complexity theory to Neo Confucianism of song and MingDynasties.This paper seeks to card the ideological origin of Li Ao’s Complexitytheory on the base which the predecessors study and the chronicle of Li Ao,in orderto get a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Li Ao’s Complexitytheory. This paper mainly research Li Ao’s Complexity theory in followingaspects:firstly, there is the introduction part,mainly introduces Li Ao’slife,background of the thought generated and the reason of choosing thistopic;secondly,it’s the first part,which analyses Li Ao’s Complexity theory textuallyin three aspects;then,it’s the second part,which researches the ideological origin ofLi Ao’s Complexity theory;finally,it’s the evaluation of Li Ao’s Complexity theory.
