The costume culture of Liao Dynasty based on Khitay intrinsic culture, absorbed and fused the costume culture of the Han nationality and other minorities, formed a kind of national costume culture both this nation cultural characteristics and the Chinese nation features. Costume and adornment is compound symbol of human being material life and spirit need, which was relative to social politics, economy, culture, customs, etc... The Khitan men’s costume not only the tool of keeping out the body and beating the feeling, but the needs of the Khitan productions and life, it also a sign of social role and status to the wearers. In according to research the historical and archaeological excavation, the paper study and analysis the Khitan men’s costume.The paper consists of four parts:The first part is to analyses the data of archaeological on Khitan men’s costume, and illustrated by tabular form. The second part is to research the style of Khitan men’s costume by the species, materials and colors. The third part from the Khitan tribe robes, uniforms and hunting clothes to study the clothing system on the Khitan men’s costume.
