| As a minority artist, Kang Lane Naonao was born in a scholarly family, and grew up in the Yuan Palace, and then entered the Royal Court of culture institution-Kuizhang Pavilion. He naturally inherited the spirit of Han culture factor. The present research has the following findings: the Han cultural awareness of the last two emperors of Yuan dynasty, the love between teachers and students with Zhao Mengfu,, the hidden activities of painting and calligraphy in the Kuizhang Pavilion, communication between the literatus. Kang Lane Naonao’s positive attitude to Han culture when he held a post in Kuizhang Pavilion and Xuenwen Pavilion mainly reflected in his calligraphy concepts, as well as a series of culture behaviors such as bluntly remonstration, revival of the imperial, and editing the Three History. All of these had strengthened Kang Lane Naonao’s Han culture complex. Thus the corresponding interaction had come into being between Kang Lane Naonao and Han culture. Kang Lane Naonao accepted the education of Han culture since his childhood, which shaped his noble character-selflessness and honesty. He had made great efforts to protect Kuizhang Pavilion and made it continue to exist as Xuan Wen Pavilion. Meanwhile, in the basic pattern of Yuan culture composed by the Central Plains traditional Han culture and the culture of Mongolia, Kang Lane Naonao, a member of the northern minorities, had inherited and created Chinese calligraphy. He had been to Jiangnan to communicate Calligraphic art and to encourage the development of Han culture. This historical fact reflected the Yuan culture’s open and inclusive spirit. This paper focuses on the evolution of Kuizhang Pavilion and takes Kang Lane Naonao into Kuizhang Pavilion and Xuanwen Pavilion’s study and discussion. It can not only witness the cultural soil of cultivating Kang Lane Naonao’s artistic conception-Kuizhang Pavilion and Xuanwen Pavilion, but also realize Kang Lane Naonao’s profound Han culture complex reflecting in this cultural institution. |
