Language Analysis Of Resolution Based On Self-built Corpus

Resolution is the soul and the key to the whole debate, which directly determines the success or failure of a debate tournament. Currently, the study of resolution focuses more on logic, less on the perspective of linguistics. In this paper, some rules and features of resolution are concluded by self-building small corpus motion and analyzing it in linguistics.Resolution has certain characteristics in form. For one thing, a resolution has both an affirmative and a negative. The general view of the affirmative side is always based as a reference. Meanwhile, negatives usually put forward their views by reversing the order, changing the words and key problem based on the affirmatives. For another, another typical type of resolution is in the form of pros and cons.From the perspective of the phrase, the structural relationship of the general debate resolution can be divided into three:subject-predicate relationship, partial formal phrases, verb-object relationship. In terms of volume, subject-predicate relationship has the largest number, while the other two have less than it. From the perspective of the sentence, resolution is not only a single sentence, but also complex sentence. A single sentence widespread, while complex sentence is in the form of a small number, which almost adopt compressed composite sentence. All these are in accordance with the requirements of resolution:concise in form, independent in structure.The usage in each part of speech also has its own characteristics. Nouns and verbs are the main components of resolution. On the one hand, from the study of nouns, it can be seen in terms of hot topics of resolution that resolutions generally can be divided into three categories:a hot topic on campus theme, class and social development issues and even their values on guiding. On the other hand, from the study of verbs statistics, monosyllabic verbs and action verbs have the highest frequency usage, which do not only meet the requirements in structure of resolution, but also meet the content requirements.There are also certain rules on the length of resolution, which can generally be cut into lengths about6±2words. This is defined by the time of the debate, the human brain information processing capacity, the economics of the motion characteristics define the concept of common rules and language of the decision. Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of resolution, hot issues are usually the first choice to design a resolution because it can ensure that both sides have sufficient antagonistic contradictions to argue. Meanwhile, correct guidance of public opinion should also be paid much attention. In consequence, more classical resolution can be designed to discuss the truth, distinguish right from wrong, training thinking ability in a debate.
