Analysis Joseph Zbukvic’s Watercolor Clock And Painting Language

Joseph·bukvic(1952-) is a famous contemporary watercolor artist. He summed up a kind of idea of watercolor painting which is named watercolor clock, through studying of the watercolor painting.Also he bring this kind of idea to his watercolor research and creation, providing a valuable experience for artistic practice, this is a good example of combining idea with practice. Joseph created a perfect watercolor work "MASTERING ATMOSPHERE AND MOOD IN WATERCOLOR " by using his own understanding, continuous learning and creation. The third part of this work is the best important part. In this part, Joseph introduces his conclusion and painting skills, it is watercolor clock. He matched different water content papers and different denseness pigments together for getting different watercolor performances. In his work, he grouped paper into four states. They are dry, dampish, moist, and wettest. Also he described five states of pigments. They are tea, coffee, milk, cream and butter. Watercolor painting can show the spirit dynamic by combining different states paper and pigment. In addition, Joseph showed his each production on his official website.
