DingZan, one of the famous psychologists in our country once said that "The most important Human psychology adaptation is the adaption to the interpersonal relationship. All the human mental illness comes from interpersonal disorder." In recent years, according to a survey on college students’psychological problems, the interpersonal disorder has become a major problem in college students’life, and the social anxiety is one of the problems. This paper systematically introduces the current study of social anxiety, the cognitive and behavior therapy and their effects both at home and abroad. In this study, we have used many methods to do the research, such as literature searching, interviewing observation, and ding questionnaires, aiming at exploring the effects of cognitive behavior group to society anxiety. This study enrolled freshmen from Wuhan Technology University to take part in, from which we chose23freshmen as participants and then divided them into two groups at random. One group for experimental, which has12people and the other for control, which has11people. Based on the theory of REBT, self-efficacy and the positive psychology, we design the programs. The experimental group was engaged in a more than one month long group with9times treatments. However, the control group didn’t receive any treatment. The two groups had to do IAS, FNE and College Students’ Interpersonal Self-efficacy Scale test before and after the group intervention. Two months later, the same measurement tools were used to retest the condition of both groups.Analyzed by IBM SPSS19.0Chinese version, the results show that:after the intervention, the experimental members’score on the IAS, FNE drops significantly and rises significantly on interpersonal self-efficacy on the dimensions of affinity efficiency, effectiveness of self-image and emotion control. Even in the track test, the differences is still significant. On the contrast the control group members only shows differences in the dimension of self-worth in the post-test and track test, while other factors have no significant changes. Thus it can be seen that cognitive-behavioral group has a real-time and long-term effects on social anxiety students. It can release the freshman’s level of social anxiety and change wrong cognition and can also improve the level of cognitive self-efficacy. Therefore, this cognitive-behavioral group counseling is t a set of scientific, effective and workable solution.
