There is not an impendent structure for causative sentence and its related causativeconstructions in so many modern Chinese grammar books, instead of taking it asChinese pivotal sentences.The writer finds that there are some differences between causative sentence andpivotal sentences by means of reading lots of books related to it.Causative sentences pay more attention to the result from the view of semantics,that is to say its semantic focus on the end of sentence, which is apparently differentfrom pivotal sentences. So the writer decides to analyze the syntax, semantics andpragmatics of causative sentence in the perspective of teaching Chinese as secondlanguage and makes use of corpus techniques, comparative analysis and error analysistheory to compare the Chinese and English causative sentence. After the analysis ofthe error analysis when used by the overseas students whose mother tongue is English,the writer puts forward some teaching strategies.The first chapter, Introduction introduces the reasons and meanings of topic, thereview of causative sentence and then puts forward the content, theory basis, researchmethods and language materials resources.The second chapter, the writer compares the Chinese and English causativesentence from the aspects of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. During the course of it,we count2000Chinese causative sentences and1800English causative sentences andclassify both causative sentences from syntax and semantics.The third chapter, according to the results of comparing the writer makes summaryand classify the error sentences(about218sentences) when used by the overseasstudents whose mother tongue is English on the basis of HSK and then analyses themain reasons of error sentences.The fourth chapter, the writer puts forward some teaching strategies and teachingadvice according to the error sentences when used by overseas students and hopes itcan play a role of teaching Chinese causative sentences to overseas students. The thesis adopts some corpus techniques to count and analyze the materials ofChinese and English causative sentences to assure the reasonable research resultsfrom the aspects of quantitative and qualitative; the thesis makes the use of erroranalysis theory to summarize and classify the error sentences when used by theoverseas students whose mother tongue is English. |
