The characters on the ancient seals which have provided the abundant materials for chinese paleography are one of the most important part of characters of the Warring States period.They not only include multiple character structures of the six countries during the Warring States period which are full of strong geographical features,but also many important content which can be mutually probative with unearthed materials and paper documents,just like official system,the evolution of geography,the surname condition.Moreover,the official seals has greater value than others.Much of the articles and literatures on ancient seals have proliferated over these years.But it is scattered to compare these studies with the study of characters on the bronzes,the coins and the earthenwares.This article will systematically arrange the official ancient seals of SanJin in Warring States.Based on this,we will draw a complete blueprint through collecting various views about the interpretation of every seal of SanJin which may contributing to other researchers.Two parts have been divided in this article:The first part is to make a comprehensive depiction of the official ancient seals of SanJin in Warring States,which covers the research status,significance,methods and their characteristics.The second is to gather the views of researchers on these seals of SanJin in which make a conclusion by the author in finally.
