At the end of the Warring States,the development of production, the incessant wars andthe prosperity of culture is the background of the formation of Xunzi’s view. Xunzi as thetypical figure,his concept of justice and benefit have deep origin of thought, such as theabsorption of Confucius theory of morality,Guan Zhong’s theory of human nature, a critiqueof Mo-tse’s frugality idea and the thought of no difference, eventually formed the view of"both moral and benefit, the justice system to profit ".The basic of Xunzi’s view are the evil of human nature, separation of heaven andhuman,the thought of pay attention to etiquette. Xunzi’s view is the main content of threeaspects: life is desire, dredge of desire, the justice system to facilitate. This claim to meetpeople’s material needs, but also the regulation of moral. Thus Xunzi’s view has a pragmatic,practical and dialectic. Xunzi and Confucius, Mencius the same Confucian scholars, the threealso reflect some differents. Generally Xunzi has inherited the Confucius righteousness on theview of justice and benefit, and criticized to Mencius "lay down one’s life for justice"thought.Xunzi’s view has a profound influence on later generations, Han Fei as a student ofXunzi absorbed Xunzi good profit point of view;"book of Rites" absorbed the thought ofpay attention to etiquette, Wang Chong and Wang Fuzhi as the thinkers of different ages, alsoabsorbed Xunzi’s viewXunzi as a great thinker, the concept of justice and benefit has certain progressivesignificance, but due to time constraints and their class position, his concept of justice andbenefit in the foundation, the way has certain limitation. To component of Xunzi’s view isvery helpful for the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
