Ejina bamboo slips of Han Dynasty, total more than500pieces, were foundedin the Juyan site of Han Dynasty by a united archaeological team during Sep,1999and Oct,2002, which is made up of Inner Mongolia Archaeological ResearchInstitute, Alashan Museum and Ejinaqi archaeological heritage in Inner Mongolia.Its contents are much rich and cover many respects such as politics, economics,military affairs, social life and other aspects related to the late time of the WesternHan Dynasty. Although belonging to the northwest bamboo slips, having manysimilarities with new and old bamboo slips founded in Juyan site before, Ejinabamboo slips still has its unique research value.In March2005,"Ejina bamboo slipsof the Han Dynasty" was published by the Guangxi Normal University publishinghouse, contenting all pictures and their explanatory words, cultural relics, andexcavation report, immediately attracting scholars’ attention. But up to now, thescholars mainlyUse Ejina bamboo slips as historical materials to explore the relatedproblems of system.As excavated material, the exact recognition of character patterns and correctunderstanding of the textual words will be a solid foundation of other research.Seeing that there has not been a thesis in the form of series of arrangement of Ejinabamboo characters, this paper starts from the basic work, fully absorbing the existingacademic achievements. We make efforts to establish a relatively reliable list,hoping to contribute to the deeper study about the Ejina bamboo&wooden slips.Following are the main contents and the structure of this paper.Firstly,this paperbriefly introduces the basic situation and research situation of the Ejina bamboo slips.Secondly, the body is the arrangements of relatively clear and complete characters,according to the order of “Shuowen”(contenting fourteen volumes). If different from the character pattern of “Shuowen”, the character patterns will be laid out innew line. In order to facilitate the readers’ useage, except identifying the source ofeach character, the dictions will be added to the character patterns as far as possible,for the aim of understanding the word meaning and usage in the specific languageenvironment. Thirdly, it’s the appendix containing a large number of imperfect andfuzzy character patterns. The last is the index and the text after revision. The indexincludes the composing index and index of fuzzy character patterns arranged inappendix, which are also laid out according to the order of number of strokes.
