Laozi’s Thoughts And The Construction Of Contemporary Ecological Concept Of Happiness

Ecological civilization is a new form of human social development, it is a formof Cultural ethics which emphasizes the harmonious coexistence, benign circulation,comprehensive development, sustainable prosperity of man and nature, man andsociety and human life. As the new form of rational thinking of the ecologicalcivilization, With the development of human society conditions and requirements,Ecological concept of happiness is constructed from the new starting point of"ecological rationality", shaping the "ecological belief" of modern people, and it trulyreflect the true state of existence of modern people’s view of happiness. Ecologicalrationality of ecological view of happiness is a rational concept which is Originatefrom nature and advocates reverence toward nature, being kind to nature andprotecting nature. It emphasizes that happiness is not a matter of self feeling ofmaterial satisfaction, but an inward spiritual experiences and the overall balanceconcerns the nature. It is the whole understanding of the relationship between manand nature, man and society in a wider field. Ecological view of happiness ecologicalvirtue of loving the nature and life, not only embodies the unity of purpose andregularity, but also embodies the humankind.s temperament of pursuing harmony.The first part of this paper mainly Define the evolution of the concept ofhappiness and the meaning of Ecological concept of happiness which is explainedfrom four Aspects, referring that the basic premise of happiness is the harmony ofhuman and nature; the perception of happiness is through telepathy; happinessdepends on the relationship; happiness is the humankind.s attempts to he truth of life.And this part points out that the contemporary Ecological concept of happiness hasthe ages and the humanities and the international commonality.The second part of this paper takes a global view of the theory foundation, thenecessity, possibility and significance of construction of Ecological concept of happiness. In the aspect of the theory foundation of ecological view of happiness, thispaper proves the rationality of the ecological point of happiness from three aspects,the ecological thought of the Marx doctrine, the traditional Chinese "harmony"thought and ecological postmodernism. As for the necessity, global environmentalpollution and ecological crisis, social ethics and moral crisis and personal spiritualcrisis, and the path choice for the development of developing, these three aspectsattest to the necessity of constructing the ecological view of happiness. As for thepossibility, contemporary social material and spiritual conditions,"ecological" lifepractice and the history enlightenment of ancient Greek civilization provides apossibility for the construction of Ecological concept of happiness. The As for thesignificances, these mainly reflected in the promotion of human existence anddevelopment of human society.Taoism thoughts especially emphasizes the harmony between man and nature,from the view of happiness perspective, Taoism concept of happiness, both from apersonal and social point of view, provides guidance and inspiration significance allfor the establishment of the Ecological point of happiness from the perspective ofecological civilization. The third part of this paper discusses the Taoism concept ofhappiness with dialectical point of view, reveals its enlightenment significance tocontemporary Ecological concept of happiness from personal and social perspective,finally aiming at the shortages of Taoism concept of happiness, the paper put forwardimportant paths and methods of constructing the Ecological point of happiness.
