The Ethics Of Low-carbon Technology And Its Philosophical Introspection

The development of modern industry makes great improvement in human’shistory. But, it sacrifices the entire environment, and our society comes into a high-risk and high-paid stage. Various negative complications are coming, such asgreenhouse effect, annihilation of species, pollution of water, lack of energy sourcesand so on. The human is confronted with crisis.With the solution of dealing with ecological crisis, low-carbon technologygradually comes into people’s view, and has already played an important role in thedevelopment of modern social economy. But, low-carbon technology can’t get rid ofthe nature of technology, even if its aim is sustainable development. Therefore, wemust reconsider the low-carbon in ethics. In this research, we firstly analyze theconcept and content of low-carbon technology, and its practical applications. Then,we demonstrate the necessity of low-carbon ethics and construe its concept andfunction. At the base of comprehending the meaning of low-carbon technology ethics,we deeply study and rethink the low-carbon technology in the view of philosophythat has problems in ethics. We mainly analyze the problem of intention、negativeeffect and the pursuit of highest ethics in low-carbon technology and so on. At last,in order to resolve the problems in ethics of low-carbon technology and rebuild anew ethics of low-carbon technology, first and foremost, the author suggests that weshould change the traditional view of ethics into a developmental ethics, second,building the ethics of low-carbon technology. It is based on the workers’ socialobligation in ethics that are working in low-carbon industry, and build the system ofethics of low-carbon technology that is faced to the society. Last but not least, weshould build a fair system of ethics of low-carbon technology all over the world.
