Classification is an important cognitive activity. It is operations that take a project into a group. Inductive reasoning is a kind of important use, classification of refers to according to the known characteristics of a certain project to predict unknown reason this project characteristics of the operation. In most cases, when people is to categorize things and would consider are categorized from different angles, such as either people are classified according to the age, also can be classified according to political parties and birthplace. If a thing can be divided into different categories at the same time, this time so we can say the things that belong to cross classification (cross-classification).This research mainly adopts the E-prime methods and software programming, computer rendering, participants were college students. study in the field of food to classify a cross-classification of food and use cross-classification of food information reasoning. This study includes two experiments, experiment1adopt the classified before they are reasoning paradigm, studied how the participants to belong to different categories (taxonomic-category script-category) classifies the food, the main study is try to classify the food as a single category, or in multiple categories at the same time. Also examines the subjects used a single category or multiple categories of information to reasoning. Experiment2is in experiment1, on the basis of further study on the factors influencing the subjects using different types of reasoning. The studies get the following conclusions:①When people is to classify the food, usually put the food more into multiple categories, rather than a single category, and in subsequent reasoning, also can integrate information of multiple categories to characteristics of reasoning. This phenomenon is more common in the category of script than in a taxonomic category.②Characteristics of different types have different effects on reasoning. Under the biological feature and the space-time feature, cross-categories there will be different in food. ③Different memory load affects the classification levels of participants. Subjects get different correct pictures in high and low memory load.
