In modern Chinese literary history, Cao yu and Ba jin are known as modern literary constellation Gemini, the two writer’s contribution to the modern literature and position is self-evident, two writers become close friends because of literary creation in their life, they are born from the feudal family, they have first-hand experience of the feudal family life and have a deep understanding of living in the inside of the people. It is due to this, there are a lot of their work take family life and conflicts in the family as a subject for literature creation, this kind of family paintings not only fully displayed their superb artistic charm, but also laid their status in literature history. Cao yu and Ba jin have many similarities about the writing of the "home", such as it’s all about the history of the decline of the feudal family, in such a family, there is a real power of the feudal parents, and there is a feudal eldest son which is bicultural extrusion and character cowardice, but he desires to the pursuit of the ideal. Cao yu in the1940s adapted Ba jin’s novel "the home", the adaptation is a new creation, he makes massive changes on the original work, it makes the "home" to glow the new vitalitive life.One of the most prominent artistic features is performed filled with poetry in the poetic, is a poetic drama. But when we research this adaptation, we will find the deep humanitarian concern for women behind adapting works, he stood on the feminist standpoint and influenced by the family culture, so he selected Ba jin’s "home" to adapt and had carried on the such great changes to the original work.
