Wu Shujuan is one of important feminine painters in the stage whentraditional boudoir painting transits to new times feminine drawing. Shelived in the end of the Qing Dynasty,both accepted the traditional influenceof Huizhou culture and found her own artistic platform in Shanghai. WuShujuan’s drawing art achievement has the distinctive characteristics of thetimes and played an important role in that stage.First part of the paper briefly describes her life and her achievement inpainting, poetry, calligraphy,let us understand the general situation of herartistic life and artistic attainment. The second part through analyzes theform factors of her artistic achievement, let us know the female artists intopublic view that the essential objective and subjective conditions which theymust have. The third part through compare with the traditional boudoirpainter, analyze their similarities and differences, let us understand thespecific transformation in that transition period. Finally sums up thecontributions and influence that Wu Shujuan made. Wu Shujuan’s artisticachievement cannot lack any factor including time, social, family andindividual influence. The women painting group represented by Wu Shujuan,not only opened a new chapter of boudoir painting but also opened a newchapter of the new age woman painting.
