Modal verb "Neng","Hui" have a high frequency of usage in daily life, and it isalso a crucial and difficult part in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In recentyears, the research about both two has increased dramatically, but the pragmaticstudies of modal verbs is slightly limited. Furthermore, teaching methods andstrategies which based on its pragmatic studies have been lacking.This paper will explore its pragmatic functions and pragmatic function-basederror analysis, which is provided the guidance of cognitive linguistics and pragmatics.Moreover, the paper will try to propose the effective teaching strategies, hoping topromote a better understanding of modal verb "Neng","Hui" for foreign learners andhelp them master this unique Chinese parts, and boost the advancement of TCFLteaching and teaching materials. |
