The Semantics Of Chinese Metaphor Study

Device "metaphor" is a kind of semantic speech, therefore, from the perspective of semantic study of metaphor is very valuable. In this paper, we study the metaphor, the study of metaphorical semantic structure system of all, the use of rhetoric, semantics and related theoretical knowledge. Using relevant theoretical knowledge such as Chinese rhetoric, semantics, the metaphors in the form of semantic structure, semantic structure features, semantic types and semantic understanding held in-depth and meticulous research. Composition of metaphor includes four elements, namely the ontology and metaphors, metaphor word and base metaphor. These four elements are according to express effect can have a variety of combinations showed a variety of semantic structure. Base metaphor is the similarities of body and the metaphors, is the most key elements of the metaphor is able to generate, reflect the similar semantic features of metaphor is the most fundamental. On the basis of the similar characteristics, metaphors also formed a variety of semantic features based on semantic structure relationship. By the body metaphor in ontology, can through the mapping relationship between them will step will classify the semantic type of metaphor in order to better understand. In the process of metaphor understanding what factors influence, is also a part of the study of this paper.
