This translation practice report is based on the author’s translation task of three scientific and technical papers,"Flow Field and Mixing Characteristics of Pseudoplastic Fluid in an Eccentrically Stirred Tank","Research on Flow Characteristics and Agitation Mechanism in a Stirred Tank with Stirrer Composed of Perturbed Six-bent-bladed Turbine", and "Power Consumption and Metzner-Otto Constant for Impeller of Perturb Six-bent-bladed Turbines". It is to give an introduction to the translation task and its completion of the translation procedure. The whole report consists of five main parts, the task description, task procedure, stylistic features, translation barriers and basic translation strategy of scientific and technical papers, translation inspiration and conclusion. The first and the second parts are to give a whole introduction to the task, including the client, the requirement of the task, the introduction of the translation and the steps to fulfill the task. The third part is the essence of the report which is about stylistic features, translation barriers and basic translation strategy of scientific and technical papers. The above papers are basic materials for analysis. In this part, firstly, the author analyzes the stylistic features of scientific and technical papers. Then, she states the translation strategies and techniques that she adopts in her translation by analyzing and discussing the problems and barriers. Finally, she gives a brief analysis and summary. In the translation inspiration part, firstly, she states the importance of analyzing the text of the scientific and technical papers. Then she discusses the problems and errors that she met in translation, and prospects for the future work. The last part is the conclusion of report.
