On the stage of the world literature and even the religion, we can see the humanpreference for the maiden stage which is youngest, most beautiful, most virtuous andmost pure. But in Japan, we found that there are more stringent regulations for younggirls. Compared with other carefree girls in the world, those described by Japanesewriters must be more beautiful, more emotional and sentimental. And the mostimportant thing we should notice is that the short time in reality trends to beprolonged and eternal in a fantasy world. In other literature, girls’ dream wouldalways be mercilessly broken, and after years of suffering and struggling to breakcocoon into a butterfly she would no doubt become into a woman aging but stillattractive or an old lady with “anguished furrow”“on her old face”. Just as DorianGray exchanged the soul for youth, girls exchange youth for love as strong as death, pilgrim soul and life lessons which have been gained during the long life. However,Japanese girls can easily possess those things above without taking many years. Itcan be said that such a beautiful, sensitive and eternal girl is not only a period ofshelf-life of youth, but has been the symbol of perfection, an example of beautymulled day and night by writers, having the obvious nature of idol. More specifically,Japanese writers add the anthropomorphic appearance of a girl into the vagueconcept of perfection or beauty. You may understand what beauty is in Japanesewriters’ heart when you understand the girls adored by them. This article willsummarize the concepts and features of the Japanese-style beauty through thecharacter of kanako. There are two kinds of communication, that is, verbal andnon-verbal communication, which consist an integral whole. In daily communication, people tend to only pay attention to verbal communication, ignoring the extra need ofdepending on nonverbal signs. Up to now, the research of non-verbal communicationis mainly focused in behavioral norms of non-verbal communication in thosecountries where English is used more often. The main study is focused in the basicknowledge of non-verbal communication, introduction of the early western theoryand the study and contrast of non-verbal communications in Asia and the west, whilesystematic research of differences between Japanese and Chinese non-verbalcommunications is not common. After understanding what beauty is in Japanese writers’ heart, it is necessary toexplore the Japanese attitude to beauty. Danmei is sometimes translated into Weimei(aestheticism), while Dan and Wei are just their basic attitude. In the world, onlybeauty is the most absolute, and the pursuit of beauty is the only morality they shouldobey. Various means taken in order to pursue the morality of beauty are all justified,no matter the means are in line with or against the morality which is recognized bythe world. Because of big gap between aestheticism morality and the recognizedmorality, Danmei is marked with the brand of being immoral. Indeed, among all themeans for pursuing beauty, those which are thought to be immoral tend to bedestructive to others and society, and sometimes the destructive means are pursued asa kind of beauty. Among all the means, the most fiercest and irrevocable mean isdeath. By interpretion of the death of kanako, the killing behavior of AmemiyaNorikamasa, the girl killed and put in the box by Kubo method and the death of theMimaban, the initiator of evil in Box of Goblin, this article analyzes the status ofdeath in Japanese hearts and the beauty of death. And a word--boundary line, hasbeen mentioned repeatedly in this book, and as for goblin itself, the verification of itsorigin and development in the work and its symbolizing meaning in events obviouslyshow its attribute of boundary line.Quantitative change causes qualitative change, and the latter is the most important. This chapter will do in-depth analysis ofqualitative change of beauty, that is, boundary line of beauty involved in the work.
