If a couple has just one child,we can say thatthe child is Only-child. In china, there are a lot of studies about the Only-child. The field ofsociology, demography and psychology have many study on this question. The sociologyresearch results will be more than the others. There is also a lot of researches aboutstereotypes, such as occupation stereotype, gender stereotypes and racial stereotype, but notmuch research on the only-child stereotype. The only-child stereotype refers to the existenceof people who has some stereotypes to only children, the understanding of peoplestereotypes on the child’s has important significance to the society as well as for childeducation problem. Because of stereotypes have implicit and explicit two levels, This studyused questionnaire to test explicit only-child stereotype, used IAT and SEB to test implicitonly-child stereotype. The purpose is to grasp the subject’s real attitude, hoping to only-childstereotype impression from the deep exploration.This research is divided into three studies, Study one is to explore the only-child stereotypeof the explicit level. Study two is on college students’ implicit stereotype and the internal andexternal attribution tendency of them, using SEB questionnaire to do. Study three is to use theIAT method to explore the only-child stereotype of the implicit level.The main conclusions are as follows:1〠subjects of only-child existence of explicit stereotypes, of the only-child stereotypecontent is "derogatory stereotype".2〠Implicit only-child stereotype exists obvious SEB effect, attributional tendency ofinternal attribution.3〠The IAT test results were significant effect, and SEB research results presentedimpression of only-child existence of implicit stereotype.4〠Implicit of the only-child stereotype is not affected by gender, age and other factors5〠Explicit and implicit research studies have confirmed there are stereotypes of only-childgroup... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Stereotypes, The Only-child, IAT, SEB | | Related items |
