Research Into Poster Layouts In The Postmodern Context

This research study is about how to design poster layout in the postmodern context. Inthe modern society, the layout of the poster, especially a good poster design, will need goodcontents and an appropriate layout. Otherwise, it will not be able to transmit the message tothe public.Nowadays, the postmodernism ideology along with economic and culturalglobalisation, has arrived beside us, and at the same time has led towards worldwideinnovation. The postmodernism transmissions will lead to changes of arts and design.Thisstudy will cover aspects of postmodernism and the design of poster layout. Posters, as oneof the most important visual arts in graphic design, should be of concern to graphicdesigners and design theorists.Graphic design poster as the most important one of the visual arts, the graphic designerand design theorist would pay more attention to it. Through appropriate and artistic layout,it would not only can express feelings, but also make the maximum extent of visualcommunication which plays the role of conveying information to impress the audience. Inthe post-modernism posters, layout design should be flexible, and the designer wouldchoose unique expression to present the content of the posters. This article starts frompostmodernism background, the first area represent post-modernism and post-modernismsocial characteristics, and then explains the future into the post-modern, aesthetictransformation, posters characteristic, manifestations poster layout, communicationinnovation and other aspects of post-modern poster layout features. Finally, it will proposethe development of post-modern poster layout, which analyse the historical, social, cultural,psychological and other aspects.
